Choosing a Paraglider
In the early nineties, there were many paragliders made that would be considered unsafe by today’s standards. Now, we have reliable wings that will take pilots from ‘elementary’ level right through to making long cross-country flights as qualified pilots. There is a European certification system that tests all new paragliders and gives them a safety and performance rating after stringent examinations that involves testing the paragliding equipment to it’s destruction.
