Hang Gliding Holidays

Peak Airsports are organising a fly / guide trip to Italy in June. The dates are from the 14th to the 21st of June (1st week) and the 21st to the 28th of June (2nd week). It is open to all CP hang gliding hill pilots or above. You are welcome to stay for one week or two and family / friends can be accommodated if needed. The location is Castelluccio, to the North East of Rome. The area is one of the most reliable and beautiful places to fly in Italy (300+days sunshine a year). With large grassy take-offs and even larger grassy landing fields, it is an ideal place for a lower airtime pilot looking to get some real airtime. All under the watchful eye of one of the most experienced fly - guide / Instructors / Mentors in the UK. For those who want a bit more, Castelluccio has hills from 800ft to 7000ft+ mountains, all right on the door step!

What will you learn?

Good take-off and landing technique.

All aspects of thermal flying and going XC. I will have a Tandem hang glider on hand and will use this (if needed / wanted) to help pilots understand what is a good thermalling technique is.

A lot more and having fun, that's what it's all about!

The area has a lot to offer and we could also get some of the Pilot Lectures done, if on the odd occasion the weather is unsuitable for flying on the day (if needed).

The trip includes; Fly guide / help / advice.

Transport of your hang glider and harness to and from Italy (one of the biggest hassles when taking a hang glider abroad).

Very comfortable B&B accommodation.

Retrieves back to take-off or back to your car-hire (if needed).
