Tandem Hang Gliding with Peak Airsports
If you think that you would like to experience flying a hang glider (a Discovery Flight), while taking it easy flying over the Peak District National Park', then a tandem flight with Peak Airsports might be the way forwards. If you would like to learn how to fly all by yourself, then our hill courses are well suited to your needs. Either way, expect to have a great day out while having a lot of fun. Taking flight from grassy slopes is the foundation of traditional foot-launched hang gliding. The passenger requires no special input to fly tandem and can just enjoy the flight experience and the fantastic views. Also all photo's and / or video of the flight / day taken by Peak Airsports are free (if the participant has access to an e-mail account). All such flights are carried out by Peak Airsports Chief Flying Instructor Mark Bosher. The purpose built tandem glider and all equipment is supplied. When tandem flying, both locations and conditions (the weather) are more critical than solo flying, therefore it must be realized and accepted that no fixed dates can be given as to when any particular flight may take place. Although every effort is made to carry out the tandem flight on the booked dates or as soon as possible (once booked and paid for) when conditions allow. A tandem flight costs £130 including BHPA membership and the flight will last between 15 and 30 minutes, dependant on the conditions and the passenger.
